Mojo Monday and There She Goes {One Fine Chick!}

A quick opportunity to craft tonight and I had fun colouring! I seem to go through these colouring bouts and it is exciting to be inspired by a photograph and a sketch! My sketch is my interpretation of the fun sketch at Mojo Monday. Instead of a flower on the left side, I opted for a flagged sentiment. My colour choices come from the There She Goes Inspiration Challenge this week, the picture is below...it is full of Fall colours. I made this for a friend, who has been so much fun to work with!

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Blossom by Blossom (TSG)
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and Copics
Paper: Kraft, Cherry Cobbler, Vanilla
Extras: Button, Square Scalloped Die

This is our last week with the amazing Carrie Gaskin! Thank you Carrie for a great month of inspiration!! It is always fun hanging with you!

I inked up a Pink Cat image that I love and coloured the images with my Copics. The paper is brand spankin' new to me from October Afternoon. The paper is supposed to be birthday paper but I thought it was kind of Christmassy, especially with the fun image! The design team has created some awesome samples to get you in the festive spirit! Welcome to Lauren as our Guest Designer this week!

Merry Monday Winners for Sketch #38 now posted on Sundays

Starting this week at Merry Monday, we are going to be choosing Winners a little differently. The winners will be posted on Sunday evenings and up to this point, I have been choosing the weekly Top Pick all by myself but I often struggle, trying to choose just one winner. I have enlisted the help of my design team.
  1. They all email me with a Top Pick and an Honourable Mention Choice!
  2. I then tally the votes and the person with the most votes in the Top Pick Category is our winner for that week!
I also thought, some fresh new winner badges were overdue!! To all of our winners this week, feel free to grab your winner badge for your blog sidebar.

This week's winner is:

Lacey Stephens
Cuteness 1

Please email me Lacey by clicking the envelope icon in my blog banner. We would love to have you join us on November 5th as our Guest Designer.

And our Honourable Mentions were voted on as well, if you received a vote from a design team member, your card and link is below. Congratulations! We hope you will display your badge with pride! If you are viewing this in Google Reader, you may have to visit the blog to see the actual cards that are linked below. They are in random order.

Dynamic Duos #26 {Thank You, Thank You, Thank You}

We are halfway through the challenge year at Dynamic DuosThis week we have a monochromatic colour combo that can be used for Fall, Sunflowers, etc. I decided to ink up my Papillon Potpourri set from SU! and used the cool new sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch. I am enjoying their sketches and they are encouraging me to think outside the box and it is SO MUCH FUN! It was good not to make a Christmas card today! I used the de-bossed side of the embossed yellow paper, and used black as a neutral this week. I would also like to enter this into the CASology Challenge to use something "Wild" on your card. Butterflies are in the wild!

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Papillion Potpourri, Because I Care-both SU!
Inks: Black Memento Ink, Yellow Copic Marker
Papers: So Saffron, Basic Black and Flourishes White CS (Gotta admit, I love this stuff)
Tools: Butterfly Punch SU!, 1 3/4" Circle Punch SU!,
Square Punch (to make the flag sentiment), Fan Fair Embossing Folder

This is the last week with the amazing design team who helped start up this challenge in May! I knew it was going to be difficult to work with them for only 6 months! I enjoyed getting to know all of you ladies and I know we will continue to be connected! I wanted to say Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! You should head on over to the Dynamic Duos Blog to see the team's final gorgeous creations! I hope you have time to join in the fun this week!

You Float My Boat and Happy Holidays

Hooray! I got my craft on! Tonight I was itching to colour and to make a card! When I saw the sketch at There She Goes, I got out some of my There She Goes Stamp Sets and looked for a fun image to play with. I love my Copics and when I saw the Colours at the Play Date Cafe, I just knew I had to play along! The colour story was so pretty and the coffee napkin had a nautical theme...this inspired me even more!

My card came together quickly, and I cut the strips of designer paper into 1" strips and then spread them out across a white card base. I chose this paper by Bella BLVD because it looked like waves to me. The twine is from Hemptique and had a bit of sheen to it.

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: There She Goes-Float My Boat
Inks: Copics, Memento Black Tuxedo Ink
Papers: Bella BLVD, Flourishes White CS, Soft Suede CS
Extras: Hemptique Twine
Technique: Paper Piecing the Flag onto the boat

I also decided to play along with a couple of other challenges as well!

Then I was inspired to play again!

The Retro Sketch this week was a great one, it could be taken in any direction and I wanted to ink up another set from There She Goes called "Snowy Days".  I bought this set a few months ago and I have not had the chance to ink it up! Tonight I pulled out my Memento Ink and my Copics and went to work! This card is clean and simple but will be easy to mail for Christmas!!! I bought this set because the dog reminded me of our dog Cyrus. I love his sweet markings.

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Snowy Days-There She Goes
Inks: Copics, Memento Black Tuxedo Ink
Papers: Gumball Gree, Flourishes White CS, My Mind's Eye
Extras: MFT Medium Scallop Edge
Technique: Dy Embossing

Merry Monday Winners

What a great week of submissions we had last week! The design team has chosen their favourites! As always, it is tough!

Wendy's Choice: Carol L.
Our Little Inspirations
As soon as I seen Carol's card this week I knew it was the one! I love the scene she created with the pink & purple-ish background. Reminds me of a sleigh ride in a winter wonderland. Love the pink & black for Christmas! Congratulations Carol, for being my Top Pick this week! :)

Nina’s Choice: Sherry
10 weeks till Christmas and we had so many fantastic entries this week. Sherry has a wonderful blend of colours and paper on her card. I love the cute sentiment and the fun holly leaves with the large button and twine.  Congratulation Sherry on being my Top Pick this week.
Bonnie's Choice: Lisa J.
Snow Moose Creations
I love the quiet elegance of Lisa's neutral card! These papers and the Victorian sentiment are so perfect for the lodge! Congratulations, Lisa, for being my Top Pick this week.

LeAnne's Choice: Cassandra
ScrappinBliss

Cassandra's pretty concoction in icy blues and warm browns brought a smile to my face--what a happy winter scene evoking wonderful Christmas memories of past! Congrats, Cassandra, for being my Top Choice this week!

Narelle's Choice: Carol
I was drawn to Carol's card this week because of the gorgeous papers she's used as well as the clean straight lines of her card.  The added shimmer paper just adds that little bit of sparkliness that says Christmas! Congrats Carol, on being my Top Pick this week!

Allisa's Choice: Judy May
I love the color scheme of Judy's card.  Her soft coloring of Santa is perfect. The little bit of added bling really makes her card stand out!  Congrats Judy, on being my Top Pick this week!

Sue's Choice: Kim Evans
 Kim's bright cheery colours, delightful image and gorgeous Designer Papers drew me to her card.  I loved the addition of the glimmer on the ornaments and the pretty bow. Congratulation's Kim on being my Top Pick this week.

Lesley's Choice:
Lauren Bergold of
I laughed out loud when I saw this adorable card! The monster looked so contrite! Yep, he is a little bit sorry for the poor choice he made...but the tree was so tasty! What's a monster to do? So much fun!!! Congratulations Lauren on being this week's winner. We would love to have you join us as a Guest Designer for Monday, October 29th!
